Welcome to my coffee subscription. This is a place for everyone to get together and enjoy speciality coffees. Coffee nerdery is always encouraged to help the community become more successful at tasting coffees and discussing likes/differences. This community will grow, as I intend to involve each person (regardless of current taste preference, brewing method, and knowledge level) to engage with me and others to learn as much as they can and brew each coffee to the best of their abilities. Beginning in March 2021, we will be donating $50 per month to World Bicycle Relief, an organization with offices in Chicago dedicated to mobilizing people in countries with poor infrastructure and high poverty rates. In developing regions of the world, millions of people walk for miles each day just to survive. On foot, individuals race against the sun to complete everyday tasks. Distance is a barrier to attending school, receiving healthcare, and delivering goods to market. World Bicycle relief delivers a special-designed, locally assembled bicycle to people in need in countries such as Colombia, Kenya, Ghana, and Zambia. The citizens of these nations work tirelessly for hours in the sun picking coffee for us to enjoy with our fancy grinders and expensive mugs. With the help of World Bicycle Relief, these hardworking people’s lives might be a fraction easier. The rack is even rated to carry 100 kg of coffee, so tell your friends to join the club and help an important cause.
